Resource mods are what you'd expect: various meshes and stuff. Level mods are just different maps, usually using same meshes, gamesys etc, and the game will only allow one of these to be active at a time. A certain amount of datafile is required with each mod, but it's text '.ini'-type stuff, and I'll include a tool to create these files.īascically, it handles two types of mods. When you click the 'play shock 2' button, it copies over the appropriate files to the Shock 2 directory then runs the game. The loader handles savegames too keeps 'em with the scheme and swaps them around with it, so you won't accidentally load games from another mod. ![]() You select resource mods and a level mod (some mods have a combo of these) and then save them as a mod scheme.
